Dear lecturer\teacher,
Our organisation installed a new feature in Moodle which automates the embedding of the lecture’s recording in Moodle. There are two scenarios:
- Recurring session:
- Create section in Moodle with the name: “Zoom meetings & recordings”
- Move it to the top of the course page
- In this section, add a Zoom meeting activity – Mark it as “recurring”
- The name of the Zoom meeting will be: the course name & period between lessons. For example, “Math for children weekly zoom session Monday 9:00“
- Each recording will appear below with the name: “Zoom Recording:”, name of the session, and date of the session. For example: “Zoom Recording: Math for children 21/10/2021“
- To cancel the recording embedding process in Moodle, just add the #noembed tag to the title of the Zoom event in Moodle’s Zoom activity
- Do not add the Zoom activity to the “Topic 0” (General or announcments). the embeded video can delete the old messages .
- Important – never hide the section or the Zoom meeting activity
- Standard Zoom session:
- Create section in Moodle with the name: “Zoom meetings & recordings”
- Move it to the top of the course page
- In this section add the Zoom meeting activity
- The recording will appear and the Zoom activity will automatically be hidden
- To cancel the recording embedding process in Moodle, just add the #noembed tag to the title of the Zoom event in Moodle’s Zoom activity
- Do not add the Zoom activity to the “Topic 0” (General or announcments). the embeded video can delete the old messages .
- Important – never hide the section or the Zoom meeting activity
